Our Story

KYNER was founded by two young founders, Chamod Manithya and Yuresh Priyan, who wanted to make premium technology more accessible to every person in Sri Lanka. They believed that if they could make premium technology available at a much more affordable price for Sri Lankan people, those people could use that technology to make a change in this nation.

These two founders met each other at the University of Sri Jayewardenepura during their university life. They both came from humble beginnings and faced many difficulties while building their first businesses. They needed premium technology to build and grow those businesses, but it often became too expensive for them to afford.

That is why they wanted to build KYNER to fix that problem.

In a country like Sri Lanka, technology equipment can feel very expensive. In reality, the prices of many premium products are not necessarily that high when they first come to Sri Lanka. Many premium brands offer reasonable prices for the Sri Lankan market. The issue is what happens after that.

We believe premium technology should not feel unnecessarily out of reach.

Higher and higher profit margins can make premium technology accessible only to a selected group of people in Sri Lanka. We want to break this cycle.

"We want to give people premium technology at a much more reasonable price while keeping only the necessary margin to run our business continuously and sustainably. That is the dream we want to make a reality."

We believe our country has more potential and more talented minds than we can imagine. We want to make premium technology more accessible to the people who build this country every day, so they can use that technology to create new things, make better things, and make our country an even better place one day.

We want to put high-quality technology in their hands while giving them the opportunity to buy that technology at an affordable price.

So students don't have to think, “How can my father afford something like this for my university education?”
Founders don't have to think, “How can I afford such an expensive item for my business?”
Creators don't have to think, “How can I afford such an expensive microphone for my recordings?”
Professionals don't have to worry, “How can I buy this product with my monthly salary?”

KYNER isn't here simply to sell technology.

We are here to make better technology more accessible to the people who are building what comes next.

We started this business not to buy fancy cars as founders or to become the biggest or number one tech store in Sri Lanka.

We started this business to help our people.We started this business to bring premium technology closer to our people.

We started this business to offer world-class customer service to our people.

We are still just a very small team that carries a huge mission to make this dream a reality. We hope that one day, people will believe in us. We hope that one day, people will trust us enough to place their orders with us.
